What is crowns & bridges?
A crown is a tooth-shaped cap that covers a weak, broken or heavily filled tooth, restoring its strength and appearance. A bridge uses crowns on neighbouring teeth to hold a replacement tooth across a gap.
We offer metal-ceramic, full-ceramic and zirconia options so you can choose the right balance of strength, appearance and budget.
How it works
- 01
Tooth preparation
The tooth is gently shaped to make room for the crown.
- 02
Impression & shade
An accurate impression and colour match are taken.
- 03
Temporary crown
A temporary crown protects the tooth while the final one is made.
- 04
Fitting
The final crown or bridge is checked for bite and cemented in place.
Aftercare
- Avoid very hard or sticky food on a temporary crown.
- Clean under a bridge daily with floss threaders or an interdental brush.
Frequently asked questions
Which crown material is best?
Zirconia and full-ceramic crowns look the most natural; metal-ceramic crowns are strong and economical. Dr. Akash Agarwal will recommend an option based on the tooth's position and your bite.
How long does a crown take?
Usually two visits: one to prepare the tooth and one to fit the final crown.
