Straightening teeth isn't only about looks. Well-aligned teeth are easier to clean, wear more evenly and can improve your bite. Today there's more than one way to get there.
Metal braces
Traditional braces use small metal brackets and a wire. They're strong, reliable, work for almost every type of case and are usually the most economical choice.
Ceramic braces
Ceramic braces work the same way but use tooth-coloured brackets, so they're much less noticeable. They need a little more care to avoid staining.
Clear aligners
Aligners are a series of clear, removable trays that move teeth step by step. They're nearly invisible and you can take them out to eat and brush — but they only work if worn for around 20–22 hours a day.
- Choose braces if: you want a fixed solution or have a complex bite problem
- Choose aligners if: appearance matters a lot and you're disciplined about wearing them
